I helped my (then 13 year old) son, Samuel, with this as an entry for the 'Dave Brewer Memorial Challenge' at ExpoNG, the narrow gauge specialist model railway show. He did most of it, but I helped him paint the backscene. It won the runners-up prize!
It is to 4mm scale with 009 track. The challenge was to build a layout which would fit within an A4 box file and there were some very imaginative ways in which that was achieved! We named it "Eastlight" because that used to be the main manufacturer of box files. My late friend and fellow 2mm Scale Association member, Paul Martin, suggested that with a more urban setting we might have called it "Lever Arch"!
