Each of the kits has an instruction sheet which can be downloaded. I have also prepared some illustrated build sequences with more comprehensive guidance on how to put the kits together. Click on these links :-
Six wheeled coaches. I did an example build of the D219 Luggage composite coach and this contains all the elements common to all of the six wheeled coaches except …
Four wheeled coach chassis (specify length required)
wheel base 61mm (scale 15’3”)
length over headstocks 104mm (scale 26 ft)
(Wheels and bearings not included.)
wheel base 54mm (scale 13’6”)
length over headstocks 90.7mm (scale 22’8″)
(Wheels and bearings not included.)
These chassis are designed to be built either rigid or compensated with a rocking ‘W’ iron unit. It would be fairly straightforward to modify them to be sprung instead. Because the ‘W’ iron units are separately fitted it would also be a simple matter to change the wheelbase to any required length though some adjustment of the solebar overlays and footboards would also be required.

The centre axle is mounted on a sliding truck. No solebar overlays or footsteps are provided with this chassis.
Here is a list of parts needed to complete these models together with some suggested suppliers who are trading at the time of writing. (If you find this not to be the case, please let me know and I will suggest alternatives.)
I hesitate to specify paints, though I have had success with Halford’s spray primer and Humbrol paints. I am not aware of any transfers being available specifically for Great Eastern Railway coaches and have it in mind that I might try to redress this at some stage – watch this space!
